Alabama National Guard 781st to return home from Afghanistan | News

MONTGOMERY, AL -- The Alabama Army National Guard's 781st Transportation Company of Fort Deposit will be returning from a year long deployment in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.

A homecoming Ceremony for the unit will be held in Fort Deposit at the City Hall Auditorium, 200 Old Fort Road, at 11:00 a.m., Friday, January 18.

The 781st deployed approximately 120 members to Afghanistan to conduct transportation support of Operation Enduring Freedom.

Guard officials encourage the general public to attend the homecoming to show support for the Guard members and their families.
